LOGAN CURRIE (HEAD AND SENIOR MENTOR)

A Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Logan has spent the last eight years preparing students for college success. She received her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and French Studies, and also studied at Sciences Po in Paris and at Shanghai Jiaotong University.

 

NIGEL NA (SENIOR MENTOR)

Nigel has a Bachelor of Arts (cum laude) in English from University of Cambridge, and he was previously awarded the MOE Teaching Scholarship (Overseas). Nigel has also worked amongst A-Level students to manage career guidance as well as developed talent development programs to help students going to UK universities gain a stronger competitive edge over their peers.

VRIJEN ATTAWAR  (LEAD MENTOR & TEST PREP TRAINER)

An Economics graduate from Emory University, Vrijen has several cycles of experience as both a standardized test trainer and admissions consultant. From designing test preparation programs to fine-tuning students’ application strategy, Vrijen brings an exceptional breadth of understanding about admissions process. 

CAROLINE WOODS  (MENTOR & TEST PREP TRAINER)

Callie is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of The Annenberg School of Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. She also studied in the Institute of Governance at the University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom.

Lauren graduated from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service with a degree in International Politics.  She has been working in education in Asia for the past 6 years, coaching test preparation in Seoul and Bangkok and teaching at an international school in Singapore.

GARY TAN (DEPUTY CHIEF ACADEMIC OFFICER)

Gary is an expert in leadership and curriculum development. He was a MOE Head of Department and a finalist for the Outstanding Youth in Education award. His paper on teaching global awareness is incorporated in SRI International's 21st century curriculum lesson design. Gary holds a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Nanyang Technological University. His areas of interests are in technology disruptions, future-proofing students and 21st century education design.

BAYU HALIM (TECH LEAD)

Bayu has majored in Electrical Engineering and was a Dean's Lister at University of Washington, Seattle, WA. He taught STEM-related subjects and also have collaborated closely with a team of engineers in working with Arduino. He has also previously worked in designing and developing tech prototypes and products.

SENDY (TECH EXPERT)

Sendy has a degree in Mechanical Engineering (Specialisation in Aeronautical Engineering) and is a registered MOE instructor for Coding and Robotics. He has designed a project with SIA-EC to develop a new method for damage detection during aircraft maintenance, by making use of 3D scanning technology.

ROGER KASSEBAUM

Roger is the recipient of the US Presidential Award for Excellence in Science Instruction, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics STEM Lifetime Achievement Award and the Pete Conrad Innovative Teacher of the Year Award. He is also director of the Mitchell Academy of Science and Technology in Los Angeles. 

KOTARO TAMURA

Kotaro is a Special Advisor who is a former senator and parliamentary secretary in charge of economic and fiscal policy in Japan’s Cabinet Office. Tamura, a best-selling author, writes about globalization and Japanese fiscal policy and business practices. He serves as an adjunct professor at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at National University of Singapore. Tamura served in Japan’s Upper House and advised the prime minister on fiscal and economic policy.  The author of 10 books, Tamura has been a senior fellow at Yale University and RAND Corp.

 

Leadership

PETER TAN (CEO)

Peter Tan is the CEO of Stone Canyon Asia where he oversees the Asian investment strategy for Stone Canyon He was previously the CEO at Knowledge Universe International, a global education leader.

Mr. Tan spent 10 years in the banking sector, followed by more than 16 years in the QSR sector where he held positions as CEO of Burger King Asia-Pacific, and a leadership role for McDonald's Corp in the greater China region.

He holds an M.B.A. from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, where he received the Schaffner Award for most distinguished alumni in 2004.

CLARINDA CHOH (PRINCIPAL)

Clarinda Choh started her career with the Ministry of Education more than 20 years ago, and most recently served as the Director of the Gifted Education Programme and The Centre for Scholastic Excellence at Hwa Chong Institution.

Beyond administration and the gifted education classroom, she has been involved with the development of policy and leadership programmes in the public education sector.

In the last 2 decades, her energies and research have moved into the conceptual and pedagogic approaches in gifted education and educational leadership. She has presented at numerous academic platforms locally and abroad.
